Welcome to FelixLeiter.com! I’m Righty007, a college student from Ohio and a James Bond fan of 007 years. Many of you probably know me from the CommanderBond.net Forums where I’ve been a member for five years. Since 2004, I’ve helped moderate the forums as well as contribute to the CommanderBond.net main page.
This blog is dedicated to James Bond’s CIA ally, Felix Leiter. Why have I chosen to dedicate a whole blog to a supporting character like Leiter? Two reasons: (1) Jeffrey Wright’s portrayal of Leiter in Casino Royale brought a coolness to the character that has been absent since Jack Lord’s portrayal in 1962′s Dr. No. (2) As an American, I’ve always felt a special connection to the character and I believe he’s the United States’ version of James Bond. Yeah that’s right, Felix Leiter is cooler than Jason Bourne and Jack Bauer!
This blog will cover the novels and films featuring Felix Leiter, actor news as well as the history of the character. Did you know Jack Lord wasn’t the first actor to portray Felix Leiter? Michael Pate technically did when he played Clarence Leiter, American Jimmy Bond’s English counterpart, in the 1954 Climax! television adaptation of Casino Royale. Ever heard of Cedar Leiter, Leiter’s daughter? Well, she appeared in John Gardner’s 1982 novel, For Special Services. How about his son, Gordo Leiter? He was James Bond Jr.’s classmate in the children’s cartoon, James Bond Jr. from the early 1990s.
How big of a Felix Leiter fan am I? Here’s a picture of two-time Leiter, David Hedison and I in June 2006 in Cleveland, Ohio!

That’s awesome you have met David Hedison. Definitely one of the better Felix Leiter’s.
I’m looking forward to future additions to the site!
