Hi
How nice it is to have a site dedicated to one of the most enduring yet mostly overlooked, characters in 20th century literature. Like Sally says the film makers have come close but never nailed it. perhaps they were worried that a properly drawn Leiter might steal the thunder from Bond himself. It's a shame there was no continuity in the actors. Jack Lord ok but almost superflous, Cec linder and Norman Burton just cops more suitable Kojak. I liked Rik Van Nutter who had the look of Felix, and David Hedison who showed some affinity with Roger Moore.s Bond.
It now looks as if Jeffrey Wright will be given a fair crack of the whip. I hope so.

Hello
I feel that the friendship between Leiter and Bond has not quite been fully explored or captured on the screen. It's been close at times, but perhaps if the film makers came and read this wonderfully well written and detailed article, they might understand in better!! Well done to you.
