You’ve seen the photos from the CIA jet/airport sequence throughout the year but do you really know anything substantive about the sequence? This analysis is based on what we’ve learned about the scene over the course of the shoot. Much of the following information is confirmed but some of it is unconfirmed and/or conjecture.

Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.

What?

Mysterious meeting between the villains and the CIA aboard a CIA jet (provided by Ocean Sky) coming from Haiti en route to Bregenz, Austria for a performance of Tosca at the city’s floating opera stage.

According to a source, Gregg Beam takes a call from M via mobile phone on a tarmac in Haiti.

According to this guy at the BondMovies.com Message Board, “Within the building of the [Austrian airport] terminal, the credit card of Bond is denied when disqualified by M and added to the list of those to be ‘captured or killed’ by MI6.” (See: Photo 009)

Where?

CIA jet (30,000 feet in the sky); airport tarmac in Bregenz, Austria (filmed at Farnborough Airport in England), airport terminal (filmed at Farnborough Airport in England)

According to this guy at the BondMovies.com Message Board, “Farnborough Airport was used to stage the mysterious meeting between the CIA and Dominic Greene at the airport of Bregenz, Austria.”

When?

According to my source, the filming at Farnborough Airport took place in mid-January.

Why?

My source says, “It appears that the CIA are indeed granting members of Quantum safe passage to Europe.”

It’s unclear whether this specific part is meant to take place in Haiti or Austria. We first reported it was Haiti but now I’m thinking it’s Austria.
