I was perusing Iconfactory today and stumbled upon a set of desktop icons based on Ian Fleming’s James Bond novels! These were custom-made by a guy named Dave Brasgalla in November 1997 and despite being over a decade old, I don’t think many Bond fans are aware of them.
They’re free to download and are Mac and PC compatible. Unfortunately, they don’t look very good on my MacBook Pro. The problem is that the images are too pixelated and don’t mesh with the sharp graphics on a modern computer. They may look better on a PC but I don’t know. My second problem with these is that the icon for Felix Leiter has him wearing glasses. C’mon, Dave!
It would really be cool if someone took this idea and updated it so that Bond fans could have a modern set of James Bond-related desktop icons.
