On the set of Diamonds Are Forever, we were filming the beginning of the “Bond vs. Bambi & Thumper” scene when Sean walks in and sees me on the rock. As he helps me down, I kick him in his private parts (without his knowing). I was very gentle when we were shooting because I didn’t want to hurt him.
So, after about 2 or 3 takes, Cubby said “Thumper, why are you being so gentle? You are supposed to be a villain, a bodyguard, I know you can do this.” I responded with, “Well, I didn’t want to hurt him.” Cubby said, “Ms. Parks, he’s wearing a football cup!” Everyone on the set started laughing, even I. I said, “Oh, okay! So, let’s do this!”
I did one take after that.
There are a few experiences, good ones that I can mention, about my experience with Mr. Broccoli, but that’s the funniest and most memorable.
God bless Mr. Cubby Broccoli’s soul. He’s actually living on like a diamond, forever!
