Bush biopic, W. Two days ago, Variety reported that Wright has in fact been cast as General Powell.

Variety also reported that the film’s budget will be under-$30 million with Lionsgate as the distributor and a release date of October 17, three weekends before the November 4 presidential election.

Shooting begins on Monday and will likely finish sometime in June.
